TICAD V STUDENT PROJECT presents AFRICA JAPAN STUDENT SUMMIT is now
OPEN FOR APPLICATION!
1) What is AFRICA JAPAN STUDENT SUMMIT?
... AFRICA JAPAN STUDENT SUMMIT is a summit held in Yokohama Japan 18th - 28th Mar 2013.
50 students from various countries of Africa and 50 Japanese students gather to discuss about our future
and to create a proposal paper.
2) Our GOAL
** BUILD OUR VOICE - MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING During the 11 days of the
AFRICA JAPAN STUDENT SUMMIT the participants will earn a deep understanding
towards each other through daily discussions and community life.
**
SPRED OUR VOICE - PROPOSAL PAPER TO ADVOCATE OUR VOICE create a proposal paper
on SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and PEACE AND STABILITY through 4
days of regional field work and 2 days of sectional meetings.
3) SCHEDULE
- 18th Mar : Opening Ceremony (Yokohama)
- 19th Mar : Workshop - Cultural Event (Yokohama)
- 20th Mar : 3 Theme Field Work (Yokohama)
- 21st Mar - 25th Mar : 3 Theme Regional Field Work
(3 different regions ; Tohoku, Chugoku and Kinki Area)
- 26th Mar - 27th Mar : 3 Theme Sectional Meeting
- 28th Mar : AFRICA JAPAN STUDENT SYMPOSIUM
* Our activity will be mainly held in Yokohama also 4 days in either
Tohoku, Kinki or Chugoku area. After 10 days of activities we will present our
united voice in front of 400 audiences.
* In Yokohama there are activities
such as lectures from TICAD participants, workshops and interactions with the
local community.
* In Tohoku(Social Development), Kinki (Economic
Development) and Chugoku(Peace and Stability) area we will observe and visit
companies, NGOs and International Organisations to learn more about our
concerned issues. We will also have interaction sessions with the local
citizens, students and children.
"LETS BUILD AND SPREAD OUR VOICE TO THE
INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY!"
Together lets discuss the future and relations
of African countries and Japan, especially from the perspective of SOCIAL
DEVELOPMENT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT and PEACE AND STABILITY.

* After 1 week
from the notification to the applicants, we will send you the agreement document, manual and
information for the procedure of the payment of the participation fee.
*1 : Participants must be able to attend all
events during the
